Colossal U Ad Campaign

These ads also confused me because it is the complete opposite of what a university or any school in the world, Every Colossal U student will turn out exactly the same. We guarantee it." sounds very confusing at first, but if you really think about it there is a positive side of what Colossal U is trying to get in our minds. When they say every Colossal U student will turn out exactly the same they mean that we will all turn into successful people when attending their university. We will also be treated exactly the same, though Colossal University has many courses to take they are trying to make a point by stating the contrary we should think or twice or if we still do not understand we should think a third time.

The second ad, "New Ideas? New thinking. Not at Colossal U"; made me think more than once because I thought to myself aren't people in the world suppose to make new inventions to make our world a better place to live in?

I then was still considering if I was right that the ads were a positive message that most people will think it will be negative. Therefore, I went on the website to see if there was any information or analysis about the advertisement and then a flash video came on and I was proven wrong.

The University is not called Colossal U it is actually called Algoma University, and the purpose is what students want to do for their future to become successful. I felt very foolish when I was clicking the links such as "About CU", "Coming to CU", "Faculties" and so forth. Good thing the girl came out of no where and pushed away every thing.
Thus, I had a feeling that the advertisements were fraud and a university will never be built under a defective system such as they promoted.

GAMING GONE WILD

Due to the fact that I get bored easily, I tend to play alot of games. The games I play are mostly Sports and Action. Games such as, the most recent basketball game (NBA 09), the most recent baseball game (MLB the show 08), and for action games such as, Star Wars the force unleashed, WWE smackdown vs raw. I play alot these types of games because they are very realistic in graphics and strategy. For instance in any basketball game recently out, they have players, teams, managers and so forth that are in our reality, also the gameplay is very realistic.
Most games are a waste of money because of the fact that you buy it only because it is new and then after a couple of months you leave it on a shelf like an antique, and most games prices range from $10-$80 depending on the year it came out. Besides adventure/action games the game usually is just repetitive, even adventure games sometimes you could finish in a couple of weeks. Gaming today, in my opinion if we want to play games often we should have more arcades, therefore we could spend time with friends and family playing with them. But on the other hand, we have to balance are time and set are priorities in order. Gaming should not be considered a priority, but most of us set gaming a priority in our lives though we may not notice.
Thus, gaming both positive and negative in our lives, because gaming could respite our lives when we are in stress or just want to have fun at home instead of going out. It is negative because sometimes we go overboard and get addicted and we don't even notice that we play too much and in the future we would not get anywhere if we play to much games.

THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL

Amazing!

I thought the ad made by Budweiser was an astonishing video. This advertisement had a great impact of who people were voting for in America. In perspective, Budweiser brought a new type of the "Wazzup" ad because of the popularity in the year 2000, many people knew about the original ad and thought it was very funny and amusing.
This ad showed basically how the world is today, especially in the United States. The ad contained five men, one reading a newspaper and watching the news who is currently unemployed, one on his laptop watching his stocks get lower by the second who was trying to attempt to commit suicide but failed. One is in Iraq fighting in the war after all these years, one who is terribly injured and is in need of pain killers probably because of no health care/money, and lastly one man in danger of death because of a hurricane that he is trying to avoid; due to the natural disasters that are taken place.
In conclusion, all these men in my perspective and also the guy reading the newspaper; Barack Obama will make a "CHANGE" this change is a positive change that will change many lives. This ad was incredible to watch and it makes many people think twice of how are world is currently at. We can all look forward to "change" when Barack Obama enters the White House in January 2009. "YES WE CAN"
